First off, a moment of silence for our friend Montgomery Scott (James Doohan).

Second, go see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! If you're a Johnny Depp fan, you'll really like it, and if you're not, you'll like it anyway. It's somewhat demented and psycho, but it's also Tim Burton, so that's to be expected. I was privileged to go see it with a couple friends on Monday.

Thirdly, we have an ambiguously-gendered zucchini named Zach in our office. He has eyes and a smile, and he wears a pink, yellow, and green striped tie and a pastel tube top sweater. This is what happens when one works late in the Mount Hermon registration office.

I'm getting to read HP and the Half-Blood Prince. My friend Joanne has graciously lent me her copy. I enjoy sitting on the commons for an hour or so at about 5:30pm and reading as I watch the conferees and staff go about their business.

There are about 4 weeks left in this summer. I am not wanting it to end. While there are drawbacks to being here (ahem...I MISS STEVE!!!!!), there are also drawbacks to going home. Namely I'll miss all the great friends I've made. Also, it means a return to school and jaw surgery. Yay.

Well, that's all for now. I'm sure I could think of other things to talk about, but maybe I'll save them for another day. Take care all, and I'll see many of you at Band Camp and church!

I love my darling Steve soooooo much! I miss you sweetheart!
